[ She goes quiet again, trying to remember the events of the previous night, painful though they are. Looking past the nightmares that have kept her awake since. ]
It was brainwashing. I had only had an hour since that happened. Since the effects were to encourage seeking out despair...it was too dangerous for you both for me to stay.
Would it surprise you I don't know what will help? A lot of it are things I already knew...how I used to feel. It's like being drenched in a sickness. I have no idea what the solution is beyond seeking a path through it. [He just doesn't know what to do. Except live.]

...you didn't sleep? [He laid awake in bed staring at the ceiling and listening to the unearthly quiet of the house. No Hinata softly breathing in his ear. He'd even asked Raijin to curl up on him but it hadn't helped.]
I'll have enough time to nap before I have to head over to the library. [He'll catch a power nap. That's enough to keep him going for a while and not enough to potentially dream.]
